40 years ago, the owners and developers of this resort discovered lush, hilly land at the tip of Koh Lanta. They envisioned a personal paradise, a place where children could learn about and inherit a love for nature.
They fell in love with the vivid azure cove, golden strips of sand and the verdant green of the surrounding mountains and realized that such beauty was meant to be shared. So for the next 30 years, the two of them, with a group of like-minded family and friends as business partners, built the Pimalai estate. Unlike the rest of Koh Lanta which had given way to resorts, beach vendors and the hectic buzz of tourism, the natural setting of Pimalai remains virtually untouched up to this day.

At our Bayfront Deluxe Rooms, you’re just a step away from nature’s astounding beauty and the tranquil calm of the sea. For a taste of luxury and elegance, try our one bedroom or two bedroom Pavilion Suite. All master bedrooms have been equipped with a king-size bed, and elegant traditional Thai style interior design elements, complete with polished teak wood flooring, rattan curtains and Siamese artifacts. Guests can enjoy a breathtaking sea view, just a stone’s throw away from the beach, a partial sea view, or a view of the gardens.
In the two-bedroom Pavilion Suite, the second bedroom features plush twin beds and a large bathroom. The bathrooms for Pavilion Suite rooms overlook a private manicured garden, complete with an open-air shower. Each bathroom comes equipped with double vanity basins, separate walk-in showers and toilets and an elegantly fitted bathtub. The second bedroom, with its own separate entrance, is located at a distance from the master bedroom, and living room area, offering its occupants complete privacy.
